My name is Grace and despite many years of cooking, I remain an amateur. With the demands of teaching and being a full time mom behind me, I devote more time to my passion for cooking. Squeezing as many guests as possible around the dining room table is pure delight for me.
My recipes are for anything and everything, sourcing many of my own creations, countless cookbooks, the master chefs and more recently, some of the TV cooking wizards. However, I never manage to make any recipe the same way twice. One of my sisters teases me that I have some nerve trying a newly created version of a recipe on guests. But I always think, how bad can it be? Hey, unlike other mistakes in life, a ‘do-over’ with eggs and butter is easy. It occurred to me that maybe I should embrace this predisposition and turn it into something positive.
In hockey, a hat trick is one player scoring three goals in the course of the game; here I’ll attempt my own culinary hat trick of presenting one recipe or food with a few variations. How successful I am with the concept of my hat trick…well, I’m going to try.
It is exciting to have the opportunity to share recipes and engage in conversations about food and cooking with those of a like mind –and give a break to those poor souls who are subjected to my ramblings about anything and everything culinary.
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and for allowing me to share my love of cooking.
